In the past few weeks, I came to learn a lot on the Olympic games. I also have a greater appreciation of it's contribution to achieving peace for the world. The 5 inter-linked rings of the Olympic symbol represents the 5 different continents of the world. The Olympic spirit refers to friendship, solidarity and fair play. Even though in the modern times, there has been cases of sportman or sportwomen who damaged the Olympic spirit either through taking performance enhancing steriods or using the Olympic Games as a plateform to raise political issues, nevertheless by and large most of the participants of the Olympics follows the Oblymic values closely. With Singapore's hosting of the inaugural Youth Olympics Games (UOG) in 2010, it gives Singapore a chance to entend the Olympic spirit to our younger generations which will ensure the Olympic spirit lives on forever and helping everyone in this world to live in peace and harmony.

These 5 weeks of civic moral education project have led me to learn more about the Olympians and the Olympic. It has been a very eventful period of time for all of us in this group. This blog is compiled with information on 15 Olympians and 2 weeks of reflection. I hope all of the reader of these blog will understand more about Olympian and sports they have learnt. Many of these sportsmen were down with illness for example; Cancer but they manage to overcome their illness and also bringforth their courage to continue the race. “For one to start a race with honours and to end with their pride” They made all their ways as Gold medalist of the Olympians. These 15 Olympians did a great job in showcasing their talents towards sports and their perseverance towards life. Indeed a well respectable ‘ Gold Olympians ’ very worthy of their talent and existence. [ 155 words]

Overall in these projects, I have learnt more about olympism . Olympic is an amazing sports challenge to all sportsman in the world.It not only challenges the physically abled but also those who are disabled. Olympic have five circles chained representing the Ancient Olympic Games, Summer Olympic Games, Winter Olympic Games, Paralympic Games and Youth Olympic Games. It is a blog which I hope all who visits will learn more about, as as we created this blog. We learnt a lot in the process too. Olympic is a sport which cherish every sportsman who have the talent to excel in the sports. A new chance for one to experience and they proved that the world not only values the phylsically abled sportsman but also the disabled, encouraging them to excel for the better. It would be a good oportunity for those disabled to pick up their self esteem. On the other hand, olympics keeps people fit , keeping bodyily-abled able to ward off diseases. Overall I hope all who visits these blog learn about not only the 15 olympians in these blogs but also the values and perseverance these sportsman have incalculated in them. Having all these values, one would sure be able to excel in their goal and work towards excellence and respect. To all readers thank you for your kind attention. [224 words]

This is my personal reflection on what i have learnt from this project. Through this project, i learnt that olympians and athletes worked really hard to pursue their dreams. I feel that they are awesome as they teach people never to give up even though you have failed in doing something. I feel that their execllence and hard work that they put in can touch people. There are many other Olympians and athletes that are respected by people. These are the few we chosen that we think can represent the values of excellence, friendship and respected by all. I feel that every athlete shown excellence as they tried doing their best to win a gold, sliver and bronze medal for the glory of their country. Even if they lose to their opponent, they will still go up to them and congrats them as they are much better then him or her. Thus, I think that we should all learn from these athletes as they shown friendship through this. Therefore, i hope everyone learnt something through this CME project. [ 177 words ]

This is my overall reflection for this project and I learnt a lot from this project. Olympics is a important day to all the people who love sports and it affect each and every country. Every country will send their athletics to a particular country to take part in the sports. In this project, I get to know more about some of the athletics and who people should learn from them, it could be because of their excellence or about their teamwork. I hope that the rest of you who view this blog will learn from this blog. Even though this is the only post I have wrriten for this blog, I still thank my team members for doing a good job in maintaining this blog.

Amy Van Dyken is one amazing olympian who got 4 gold medals in an olympian match which is very difficult for one to score and achieving these many medals. Proving all her efforts worthwhile, by getting gold medals causing us to respect her in her excellence sportsmanship. These amazing records sure made one be awe with her.
